4 Things You Wish You Knew as a First Year

First years at Hogwarts are absolutely clueless...or at least I was. There was so much that I didn't know and when I discovered these things years later my world was practically turned upside down. We need to not leave the first years in the dark for so long! Here are 4 things I wish that I knew as a first year.

1. There is a room of requirement.

If you need something, and really need it, then just pace back and forth along a wall on the seventh floor and this magical room will become whatever you want. It's rumored that one time it turned into a bathroom for Dumbledore.

2. It is not uncommon for someone to be in the hospital wing literally every day.

Honestly someone is in there all of the time...and not like for a cold but for broken bones, being petrified, or something terrible.

3. Peeves the Poltergeist will bother you.

Don't worry though, just tell him you're going to tell the Bloody Barron.

4. Dumbledore has favorites....actually every professor does.

Don't worry though, it won't be the end of the world if you aren't a favorite. However, it could screw over your house for the House Cup.
